Knowing how to clear a concrete pump pipeline safely is critical. Before you begin, set up an exclusion zone to ensure safe removal. Common methods include:

  • Reversing the pump to relieve pressure and break up the plug
  • Identifying the blockage location through pressure buildup or inspection
  • Using water or air to move material through where appropriate
  • Removing sections of the pipe if the blockage cannot be cleared internally

Never stand directly in front of a pipeline during clearing to avoid injury from sudden pressure release. To ensure safety, those involved in removing the blockage must wear appropriate PPE.
